The MLS Has A Don Garber Problem - Refs, winners, and more

we cover a lot and give out 1 smack at the end. Enjoy!

[00:00:00] The Words. Rudy, I am untethered and my rage knows no bounds. Oh God, it's just going to be a day of standing on a soapbox, isn't it? No, so here we go. Wait, can we tell people why we haven't been on, had a podcast for a few days?

[00:00:17] That's pretty important too. I'm just coming in so hot right now. I want to start, hang on, hang on, let me start positive and then we'll get to all the negatives. Let's start positive. Well, positives, you're still alive. I'm not dead. That's a pretty big positive.

[00:00:30] I'd say that's probably number one. Number two, we made the transfer from, I've joined Discord servers and products with a company called Prop the Mic, who is still supported by Props.cash, which the best. So we're just kind of bringing everybody together, one big family.

[00:00:49] So yesterday was the first day we had some growing pains of getting everybody moved over. I've never done that before, but everybody got grandfathered in at the old price. We've got everybody in there. So you have a bigger community, more people to party with.

[00:01:00] We still have the dedicated soccer channel and then we have under my name, just Tim Trad, there is a one section for pick. So we have simplified this system and given you one, two, three, four, five, six

[00:01:14] other contributors that it pains me to say, but are probably better than me at most things. The only thing that I probably have any edge in is soccer. So you could just get soccer from me and then you can look to them for everything else.

[00:01:26] And we absolutely fucking smashed yesterday. I don't know how many units were up yet, but it's a lot. We hit one of the plays was plus 1350 or something like that. So with that being said, there was a couple other plays I put out. It's really quickly.

[00:01:43] So I did have a medical thing this week. You did. That's why Tim said he's really glad that I'm alive. And so yeah, constex is probably good. Glad they're. And so so now we're on to the soccer.

[00:01:55] So yeah, we apologize for not getting it out early, but all of the picks, all of the info was still in. We just didn't. We weren't able to do a podcast because Rudy was staying alive. Yeah, like the Bee Gees. Yeah, just staying alive.

[00:02:08] OK, I went to bed early last night like I promised. I went to bed early and I saved it up and I got a lot of do today. And luckily my my my rage knows some bounds this morning. I would say that the MLS is untethered.

[00:02:22] I'm not untethered. Where do we start real quick? Cucho to score assist. Now, hang on real quick. We put out in the Cucho to score assist and I had a Cucho anytime goal score, which was yeah, which he did score a goal,

[00:02:37] which we knew he was going to do and just take it away. So we're still we're still up, but it was ripped from us. Let's move backwards. The MLS. Yeah, has a referee organization called P.R.L.

[00:02:49] I don't know how much you want to get into the details of what's going on right now. But essentially a lot, a lot of times in business, one side is an asshole to the other side and then the other side gets screwed.

[00:03:02] Right now we have two assholes on both sides that a dog should get their job that are fucking over the entirety of a league and organization like each individual player and most importantly, the product. So here's the thing.

[00:03:16] A lot of people online, me being one of them on Twitter last night was we're pretty angry. You could say it was warranted, but a lot of times it's unwarranted and I hate as much as anybody else, someone who loses and just wants to blame everybody else.

[00:03:32] I want to start off very clearly. I am a diehard Columbus crew fan. I'll support this team till I die. And right now we are the best fucking team in soccer. It's a great time to be a crew fan.

[00:03:44] Yesterday, not a great time to be a crew fan. You could start off with the field itself and how Ash a turf is dog shit. We lost Will Sands last year. We may have lost two of our players this year.

[00:03:53] Let's skip entirely over the fact that MLS doesn't care about its players enough to give them a fucking field when the World Cup comes in. They're making company or all these places turn their fields to grass so players will play on them.

[00:04:05] So they're saying we care enough about them. Same with NFL. The NFL is going through this NFL because the NFL stadiums are switching when they've been begging for it. Guys like OBJ have had their career ruined because of these pitches. Moving backwards, you let's hang on.

[00:04:19] Let's and let's also say this. That's also this is this is not just a league problem with the NFL or with the MLS. This is a this is a global problem. This was the main problem with the Women's World Cup in Canada,

[00:04:32] which was all held on Astro turf. And there was a ton of injury injuries when, you know, and yes, the United States won. But there were injuries all over the place. And so it's a disregard for athletes in general. Specific athletes, though. Guard for money.

[00:04:49] Yeah. So it's it's a it's a guard for money and disregard for athletes. And I'll say this too, they are not valuing the World Cup players more than our players. They're valuing the money that the World Cup will bring in. They don't give a fuck about the people.

[00:05:02] Yeah. So I want to be very clear. I'm not praising them for doing it. Let's move backwards. We have two organizations, right? And we can talk about corporate greed all day long. We have two organizations, not one of the others fucking the other one over.

[00:05:13] They're fucking us over in the product in the process. Right now, best soccer in the world is all on break. We've got the best team in America. I love that's right our back door. You know, if people are not watching this league,

[00:05:23] regardless of all these big names that are in it. And yeah, right now is the window from now till March 29th. Ish 23rd, depending on which team you support, you have a wide open window. Oh, sorry, 29th, not 23rd. That was yesterday. I'm an idiot.

[00:05:39] There's a big window. This is the point right now in the whole world of footy fans can now look for a product. You know, I mean, people that watch soccer are looking for soccer to watch. They're like, oh, maybe I'll give them a chance. Yeah, if they want.

[00:05:52] Yeah, let's look at some league play. My my international team played one day and I've got, you know, you know, two and a half weeks. So I'm going to look at them. I'm going to look at the leagues that are alive.

[00:06:02] You and I do this if MLS is on a break or something like that. We're looking, you know, we watch soccer all year round. So we're always watching when MLS is not around because we're watching other leagues. This is this normal.

[00:06:12] Right now I am looking at Saint Merino and Saint Kitson, Nevis stats over the last four batch ups. It's one and a half percent, 100 percent over one and a half, 100 percent both teams score. But anyways, this is a product. This is how we succeed outside of the organization.

[00:06:29] So I'm not like, oh, no, we lost. I'm sad. Yes, I'm mad about that. The ref fucked our team over. There was a really bad game the other day, though, that we won three nil. And I said that on the podcast, dog shit, refing.

[00:06:39] It just didn't affect the outcome. This one absolutely did. We could go over all this stuff. But if you remember the Sergei Boyko incident from last time, Rudy, would you say this was better or worse? Oh, no, there's not even there's not even a question.

[00:06:54] And I know and I'll just say why the Sergei Sergei Boyko issue on a single game issue was probably the worst that I've ever seen and still is to this day. But what you're talking about is two men that are arguing and screwing an entire league.

[00:07:14] This this is so much worse than the Boyko thing because this is not one guy affecting one game who's a total douchebag and blah, blah, blah. This is every single team playing. This is everyone in the world who decided to watch MLS this weekend

[00:07:31] is now didn't matter which team they watched. It was just trash, trash, trash, trash, trash. So many games were affected. OK, so our being and have been this whole league. Yeah. And then OK, so we had I mean, I saw a lot of stuff about New England.

[00:07:48] People weren't very angry about about the Red Bulls Miami, although that game was just it just kind of a shit show. Hell yeah, Lewis Morgan's love to see it. But Christopher Calderon, I don't know fuck all about this dude.

[00:08:05] Never once had control of this game, not even remotely close. There was no sort of order. There was no sort of reasoning. The red card, he gave a straight red for something that was arguably not even a yellow. It wasn't even called on the field.

[00:08:20] And then no, no review or explanation or like even just, it was just kind of like, I'm going to do whatever I want. I don't care. The same exact play happened in the inverse and not only was there not a red given, there wasn't even a card issued.

[00:08:34] So here's I'm not even blaming for this situation, even what you're saying. I'm not even blaming the referees that we currently are. It's not their fault. They were just asked to do a job, right? They're just guys that needed a job. Here's the job, your replacement referee,

[00:08:52] because the entire reffing. What did they call it for the MLS rest? What is their PR? Oh, the pro referees. They're not there are normal refs, which are good refs. We have some really, really good refs. Yes, not all are bad. It's the system.

[00:09:07] They're not they're not, you know, they're it's gotten a lot better. OK. But these guys, these guys and girls that we have now that are reffing, they're just not as good and they're just doing a job. But it's like it's like inviting, you know,

[00:09:24] an NCAA, you know, triple, you know, and see triple a ref to ref a pro game. That's what we're that's what we're in right now. Yeah. And here's and here's my goal from all of this is they have they're telling guys on the show

[00:09:41] not to talk about the refs. They're telling reporters what they can say. Yes, like they can't help themselves. Yeah. And even in the game last night, the the announcers live time like, oh, I don't agree with that. And they're being reprimanded for this.

[00:09:56] This like one sided cut, like, I don't even want it. Like dictatorship of of it's like a conspiracy theories. Wet Dream is what's happening right now. The messy shirt before the game and them trying to cover that up. The uncles, are you fucking kidding me, dude?

[00:10:12] I have nothing personal against Christina Uncle, but she is terrible at her job. Well, she's good at her job, which she's told to say things that are not true and then fight with people on the internet to try to gaslight them into believing the dog shit stuff.

[00:10:26] They put it like we're not buying it. You don't even buy it. Stop it. So like there's the people like that that have been put out to, you know, it's like the alternative facts girl from 2016. Like get presented with information and the uncles.

[00:10:39] I love that we have a guy and a girl that are married. It's like the lady that worked at the company that just hired both of her dads and it didn't work out. You're like, oh, cool.

[00:10:47] I wonder why you hire your father-in-law and your dad the first time. Sure, they may have met afterwards, but that's fucking bullshit. And it's such a great example of what is happening. So if something bad happens and you're presented with the facts

[00:10:59] of that, what happened was bad instead of being all she needs to say is we fucked up. Give me like a my bad dude. Just acknowledge it. But telling me, no, we use alternative facts. So therefore that bad cause actually a good call

[00:11:11] and what we did was the right thing. Yeah, get fucked. And then one more thing and I'm ready to move on for the soap box. No, two things. One to the actual to the actual game. Yeah, yeah, two things. One, I want some action.

[00:11:24] So if there's somebody out there that can tell me how to point my rage into action, you know, I'm not trying to January 6th, the MLS office. You know, I don't know what the like less violent version of that is,

[00:11:37] but it's it's it's it's getting to the point where the thing that we love is being affected to a point of where it's unwatchable and it will like, what am I going to do? Punish myself. You know what I mean?

[00:11:47] Like Joel's one of my friend's kids broke their TV. So his punishment was like no TV for a week. That means he doesn't get a TV for a week. Fuck that, dude.

[00:11:54] Like what am I going to do boycott MLS so that like my friends can't play on the team and my friends that work there can have a job in my hometown can have a team and I can't go watch soccer. Fuck that. Get your shit together.

[00:12:05] So if you have a way that I can help in any way to use my platform, I will show up and help save the MLS because it's getting bullshit. Number two, I talk about sports betting as if it's an investment program, right? And that's what it is.

[00:12:17] You are taking data and you're placing your money in the place where it's going to return the best. The outcome of that is now in the hands of someone who can take something that did happen. Imagine if you shorted a stock, right? Shorting a stock.

[00:12:30] Yeah. Let me think of a better thing. Imagine if you. Said the shot the shot the stock's going to go up in price. So you invested in the stock and over the next month, the stock went up in price and you're like, sweet, let me get those returns.

[00:12:43] But the stock some guy at the company who cares who it is, you know, a go between not even a guy at the company as a broker. They said, actually, the stock didn't go up. And you're like, but I can see that it went up.

[00:12:56] And they're like, yes, but we use alternative facts. The stock went down actually by a million. So you lost all of your money and you're like, well, no, I didn't. And they're like, well, by our determination, you did. So therefore you did.

[00:13:07] That is what's going to happen in sports betting. For example, when I bet hundreds of dollars on Kucho to score a goal. And then he does and he's not offside. And then they call him offside and then I lose all that money.

[00:13:19] I'm up. So like the outcome of my day was not completely negatively affected by it. But my bank account has significantly less money because of a call that was not right. Yes, there's insider trading and one night of that.

[00:13:32] But that's like saying we have that now in soccer. And if the worst that the officials get or like this bullshit gets, it's going to affect the pockets of the people who are wagering money, you know, investing money

[00:13:46] and expecting a return based on the research that they did. And it's not just and it's not just people that are, you know, doing betting that expecting it's every single fucking fan who buys a ticket. Exactly. Well, good to who drive who who drive somewhere pays for parking,

[00:14:04] takes their kids, you know, they a family of four. They're spending two hundred and three hundred dollars just to get in the door and then they're buying food for one hundred fifty dollars for the whole family because everything's super expensive. So you didn't know that. Jerseys are cheap.

[00:14:19] You've got all these families that are also have an expectation. They have an expectation that we have a product that delivers accuracy. That's listen, does that have to be perfect? No, it's never going to be perfect. And none of us are saying that.

[00:14:34] But we do have an expectation that the level of accuracy of the calls being made on the field are going to be fair. They don't have to be perfect. They just need to be near fair and they need to be at a certain level of accuracy.

[00:14:51] And we're not getting either thing. We're not getting fair. We're not getting accurate. And that is affecting not just you and us in our community that bets, but it also affects every single fan that goes there and spends all of their money

[00:15:02] often spending a lot more money than somebody who's a casual better who's sitting at home and is just trying to make a little money. They're losing even more money. This is a this is a big money problem. Yeah, so I don't want to bitch forever.

[00:15:16] I just needed I needed to get something out and I know everybody. I looked through the feed instantly. I think I even said I was just like, I'm so frustrated. I don't know how to use words because you could go so many directions

[00:15:27] with pitching that I'm like, I want to be constructive. But something needs to be said. It's it's unbelievable that they are just getting away with what they've been able to get away with for quite a while now.

[00:15:38] And I hate being allowed when our team's the best, you know, but like, I guess that's the best time, you know, you can be quiet when it's working out for you and be allowed when it's not. You know, we're we're doing pretty well right now as a team.

[00:15:51] Well, this is back. You know what? One of the I'll tell you, I'll tell you what does I'll tell you what does fix all of this, Tim. I'll tell you what fixes all of this. Donnie Garber is is good leadership.

[00:16:02] Yeah. I'll tell you what is that's what that's what fixes this. Good leadership. I'll tell you this. Don Garber has done a OK job. No, I will say this. Don Garber has any good job at expanding the league and bringing more teams in. You can't really criticize that.

[00:16:21] It has for, you know, 20. You can't you can't really criticize that because the numbers are there. So he's brought teams into the league, which is great. But that's not the only that's not the only thing that you need to oversee as a leader and this scenario.

[00:16:37] We need a better leader than Don Garber. He's not the guy. He's not the guy. Nice. We're we're coming up on our some what? The Inter is going to be what on their seventh game? We're coming up on our fifth game and six. This is like terrible.

[00:16:55] This is terrible. And it affects a new leader. Yeah, it affected that's what I'm saying. It affected the standings, too. It kept us in out of first place and move since the end of first place is a lot. It's a lot. There's a lot riding on it.

[00:17:08] Hopefully one point or three points doesn't doesn't come to bite us in the end of the year. But speaking of impeccable leadership, old Austin, Austin is freaking out because their team isn't doing so well and they're mad at the at the founder.

[00:17:29] I was like, man, it's almost like we couldn't see this one coming. Like are you saying that he's alienating the fans and raising ticket prices and only in it for the money? No way. You don't say. I'm I'm like shocked.

[00:17:40] Did they think that Anthony Precourt wasn't going to be dog shit? Is that what they thought? Because we told them we told them. Yeah, it's getting a dog shit guy. So he's an ass. I'll give him this. He is a he is a shrewd. He's a great businessman.

[00:18:01] He knows how to make money. Does that make you a good person? No. Dude's is massive piece of shit. He is great at making money. Some people are good at making money. I know of a bunch of people who are massive pieces of shit

[00:18:13] that aren't good at making money. So at least he's got one thing going for him. But yeah, sorry, Austin. That's your problem now. Let's get into some positives. Kucho scored his fourth goal of the season. We're just going to refuse. We're going to give some alternative facts.

[00:18:31] Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I mean, if you look at the video, not only was he on side, but he was on side so that I rest my case because there was fucking video evidence. So I can't wait for Christina

[00:18:43] Uncle or somebody to come on and try to tell us why that is not what happened. Miami scored 13 goals through five games, decided to score zero goals in one game against the New York Red Bulls. Part of me loved it, but the part of me that hated it

[00:18:58] was the one who had them to score one goal. All we needed was one fucking goal. That big both teams to score parlay. Inter Miami went ahead and fucked it. That is not the team that we thought was going to do it.

[00:19:10] We had a lot of things that won yesterday. Yes, yes, we are up units. I only I strive for perfection and I'm a restorative personality, so I focus on fixing the negative, which makes it look like I'm hyper focused on the negative all the time.

[00:19:23] We did hit a first shot parlay for plus 1350. That was pretty cool. It was Cuccio, Acas, nope. Suarez, Cuccio, Ben Tecay and what was the fourth one? Who was the fourth person I had? It was sneaky. It was a bit of a sneaky. Oh yeah, it wasn't expected.

[00:19:45] It wasn't expected. You sent me the text. It's way back. Oh yeah, Cuccio, Ben Tecay and Cignet. Yeah, he had like five shots on target in the first half. So we were talking about that before the game. That one was plus 100.

[00:20:00] Ben Tecay plus one of five, Luis Suarez plus 120. He had two in the first half as well. So that one was a plus 1350. So that's pretty solid. But Miami was the one to kill that both teams to score. We had a big one and it didn't.

[00:20:15] But the over one and a half hit that we put out, we had the New York Red Bulls, the Vancouver match, Kansas City LA, which is a really fun game. And then the Philly Portland all over one and a half, they all had four, three or more goals.

[00:20:28] So that was a nice little no sweat. We also have to the Parley. Did you, I don't know if this was a smack, but you had this one, Toronto and Atlanta over one and a half, Charlotte Columbus over one and a half

[00:20:40] in Kansas City LA Galaxy over one and a half that also hit. So that did hit. And then that was the silver lining of us giving up two goals after 80 minutes was I forgot that I had moved the crew into a over one and a half play.

[00:20:55] So we lost, but it kind of refunded a little bit, even though I still would have been paid with the Coucho money much earlier. So it didn't really refund it. I still earned it. It was a nice little silver lining to finish the night up nicely.

[00:21:10] We also had the Phil Foden, Vinnie Jr., Harry Kane. Harry Kane voided on it. It would have been massive. It was still like plus 300, but actually a little bit more plus three 30. Yeah, I was like, plus, I don't know. I figured it was, it was like double that.

[00:21:27] It was like plus 700 or something. It started at plus 619, but with Harry voiding, it dropped it back down to like plus 330 or something. And then we had the Vinnie Jr. Harry straight up. So Vinnie Jr. just straight up one shot on target

[00:21:40] was plus 136 and he had, I believe he had multiples. Cineus is really good at soccer. All right, let's, let's, let's I have to run in five minutes. This is going to be a short podcast. You gotta run in five minutes.

[00:21:54] I want to run down just a couple of things on the crew game. Number one, I think the, the red card against Derek Jones, I would say is a little harsh. Technically, could it have been a red? Technically, yes.

[00:22:13] That early on in the game, it not causing an injury. Most referees that are breathing MLS games, most of them may have given that a yellow. I can't, I can't like wholesale say, right? That this is like, oh, a terrible call.

[00:22:27] But I think it was a little harsh, especially the fact that it's Derek Jones playing against his former team. I mean, get the context. This is a guy who's not trying to hurt anybody. He didn't come in hard. The guy got right up. They're all friends.

[00:22:40] Yeah, nobody was injured. Yeah, nobody was injured. But, hey, look, if you want to go, if you want to go, oh, technically I saw it this way. I was at that angle. I'm going to give the red card. I'm not even going to bitch about that.

[00:22:51] I'm not even going to say that it was technically lopsided because Charlotte did have 27 fouls to R13. They did have double the red cards or a double the yellow cards. They had six yellow cards and we had three. But it was the key plays.

[00:23:11] There were all of R13 were key plays. And the fouls against us were goal scoring opportunities. The first goal that Charlotte had, there was a there was not a foul from Darlington Nagby. Oh, your calls the foul. Yeah. He calls the foul. That makes the possession switch.

[00:23:35] Literally, literally 20 seconds later, they put in their first goal. That's that's what we will call a key foul. Yeah, the foul. So all of R13 were in key moments. And they called it penalty to that they missed most of those

[00:23:51] were in the second half and they were like the trash ones where they were just trying to waste time and all that stuff. So all of those files that they accumulated were insignificant. They were insignificant. So it was just a horse. It was just horseshit.

[00:24:06] You're skipping over the penalty. You're skipping over the penalty goal is even worse. You're skipping over the penalty. They called a penalty for that they missed it. So like that would have been massive. Like we're skipping over that mistake because they

[00:24:17] that was one of the worst awarded penalties. I think I've ever witnessed in a professional sports game. And then they reviewed it and then they asked him after the game and he said some bullshit about it. And then people are like, why aren't the crew

[00:24:27] and in Wilfred Nazi wasn't even there to be not chill for it? I would have loved for him to be unchill. Oh, yeah, he would have unchill the assistant coaches. They don't make enough money to get fined for talking shit about how bad that was.

[00:24:39] He was just like, you know, they had a tough call. It's just bullshit. I need somebody to say what's real. Like, did you see that shit? You know what I mean? Just say that. And then somebody if that dude came out and was like, look,

[00:24:49] guys, I was it over my head. I'm really sorry. Or I had a bad game. I missed that call. Not even like the whole don't even give me excuse or just like stand by the red card and concede the penalty.

[00:24:59] Like just meet somewhere and you were not good, let alone 100 percent correct. So just give us some. We give you some grace and we move on. It's this lack of accountability that I'm never going to shut up about.

[00:25:13] But I what I don't what I don't understand is they have this belief and it's what we would call corporate belief. And the corporate belief is the corporation makes no problem, does does wrong and makes no problems. That everything is an employee problem, right?

[00:25:27] The corporation does everything correctly. But none of us believe that and none of us practice that, right? Coaches all the time are saying, you know what? I got outcoached or I didn't prepare the team enough. Players are saying, you know what?

[00:25:39] I wasn't good enough or guys, sorry, I got that red card. I let the team down. I'm at this and that and another. You know what never happens? People are like, nope. Sorry, Derek Jones. You made a mistake.

[00:25:51] I'm not a fan of you ever and I am no longer a crew fan ever. You know what that never happens? It never happens when somebody says, I just want to be accountable for fucking up. Like it doesn't happen.

[00:26:01] But they have this corporate belief that if we if we allow the referees to say, I fucked up that call or I fucked up that game or I was dog shit. I would never respect a ref more

[00:26:12] that they're going to storm the castle or some shit and we won't. That's not what we're going to do. Yeah. Well, now we're ready to because of the because the opposite. Because because yeah, because of the opposite, because they refuse to say

[00:26:25] they refuse to say, you know what? We're doing a shit job of this. We're doing a shit job of negotiating like Don Garber knees come out and say, I'm a shit leader at negotiating. I don't know how to do anything with these PRO guys.

[00:26:35] I have I'm I'm in over my head. Can somebody come help me talk at a table with tea and crumpets with these people? Because I don't know what the fuck I'm doing. That's what we need. Yeah. And obviously there's a little bit of hyperbole in our frustration,

[00:26:47] but there is there is a real problem. I mean a little in a little bit of accountability would go such a long way, man. You know what I mean? Like literally if if somebody said, yep, somebody said we were handling this poorly or we're getting a fixed

[00:26:59] or we need to bring some in some help. And that's that's kind of like what's wrong with people in general is they just think that there's this strength that they're giving off, you know, in like doing it alone or an inability to recognize your own shortcomings.

[00:27:11] I've never been more calm than when I realized, well, yeah, that's on me, you know, and then you know, oh, this is something I need to work on. If you just tell yourself all the time, like, they're stupid. Everyone sucks. I'm right.

[00:27:21] You're going to have a really lonely, sad, frustrating existence. And I hope well that Don Garber and your boy down in Austin. Are experiencing that. I'm just kidding. I hope they get better. I think this don't you think this too?

[00:27:36] It kind of it would remove all of our rents. Like they would they would eliminate all of our ranting if they just came out and they're like, yeah, we fucked that up. And I'm like, yeah, well, you know, he said he fucked it up.

[00:27:46] He's going to try harder. You know, these this is new plan. You know, like we're not going to have a soapbox to stand on. We're not going to have we're not going to be cussing and and screaming and and yelling about all this shit

[00:27:58] if they would just be like, you know what, I fucked up. And like, well, you know, he admitted it. So let's let's move on, guys. Yeah, that's what that's what I'm saying. It disarms. I get people all the time that come after me on the Internet

[00:28:07] and I just I'll either use humor or I just ignore them now because people starting to get crazy. But if you just kind of like respond in a way they instantly turn around so quickly, you know. But if you they're looking for that fight

[00:28:19] and if you just respond without it, they are like, oh, shit. I don't know what to do now. And then he's like, oh, my bad, man, I was too hot. Like this one guy on Twitter there and I said something I didn't really understand what he meant.

[00:28:28] So I just joked back with him and he instantly was like, man, I'm so sorry. He was like, I was just really frustrated about something and you were the first one I saw. So I just came at you.

[00:28:35] I was like, dude, do whatever you got to do, man. Like I don't care. But like if I would have fought with them, he would have been like, well, fuck you. That totally disarms you. All right. Yeah. Well, you know, you know, he's having a shit night.

[00:28:45] All right. I just want justice when I see something that's not right and I can't do anything about it in any aspect of life. But this is something I'm very passionate about. People say it's silly. I really, really enjoy being a part of an organization

[00:28:56] and a sport that you love. Like I love ice hockey. I can't fucking play it. I don't know anything about any of it. You know what I mean? Like I understand it. I get it. But like I don't have that attachment to something

[00:29:08] that when I was three, you know, I remember falling in love with and practicing and learning over the years. And when you watch soccer as someone who's played for most of your life, you see the formations and you see the opportunities.

[00:29:22] I'm always use every time I'm like pointing like Joel and Anne's give me shit or like you were giving me shit because I'm like, you know what I mean? Like trying to coach from up top like shut up, dude. Just sit down and watch the game.

[00:29:32] But there's like there's this in you can see so much better up there. You know, I can see all the lanes. Like I'm like, I wish you could play from this vantage point. But there's a different my point is there's a different

[00:29:42] passion and something that you truly love and believe in. And then there's some injustice in it, whereas it's that's why it's hard for people to get on causes that aren't affecting them. You know what I mean? White people are like, oh, everything's fine. It's like for you maybe.

[00:29:55] So obviously I understand like in the grand scheme of things in life or refs are bad. Isn't like the biggest injustice. But that like drive for just. What is right? Just some accountability. Just some just some like it just acknowledge what's

[00:30:12] right and then and then we can and then we can move on. The slate of games had a couple of positive things. I do want to say that New England Revolution got their first point in MLS on a nil or no, it was a ones draw.

[00:30:26] Yeah. On a one might as well have been a Nils draw fire. Yeah. Do that game. So that's a positive. The the New York Red Bulls, as we said, I love when they play well, you love when they play well. Mostly I'm a Red Bulls fan.

[00:30:41] They both are the New York Red Bulls and for the Columbus crew. So we love to see that. I like when Inter Miami does well, I think it's better for the league. So this is a big shocker. I like when Miami. So it's a little bit of drama.

[00:30:53] Yeah. Yeah. It creates a little bit of drama. They could have put one in though. They could have put one in right? Like a four one loss is so much better than a four nil loss for me. I'm happy that the goal differential got evened out.

[00:31:05] I'm happy that Miami was exposed. I'm real sad for Kampana. That's my guy. One of the hottest guys in soccer, both in goal scoring and appearance. But he was not well soon. He wasn't there. Now he was on pitch the whole time. No, I know. I know.

[00:31:19] I mean, yeah, come back to soccer, please. Charlotte FC. I know their fans are excited and because they beat the best team in soccer. And so with 10 men for the entire game. Happy for them. I mean, if you're happy with that, that's cool.

[00:31:36] If that's what gets you happy. Yeah, it was a ship product. But you got a result good on them. God, I love their I love their jerseys. It's a great dude. Charlotte fans are the best too. We got it.

[00:31:46] We got some in the discord and we were chatting. I have no animosity towards. I mean, they've got some of our old guys. Maram is he was listed for a shot on target. Justin, someone who's not signed with the organization currently at minus 130.

[00:32:00] He was favored over Christian Ramirez, which dude, I hope he's OK. But he was this just shows you how much I should stop talking about it on here because the books don't know and we have it. But I keep being like, is there something I don't know?

[00:32:13] Like, why is this guy listed? They didn't have Ramirez listed. He's a starting striker in MLS and they had Justin Maram. Our guy loved the dude, but not even in the not even on the field listed at a higher than him. Incredible. It's just so good.

[00:32:29] FC Cincinnati were able to get it done against NYC FC FC. No cost of the score assist Orlando coming up with some points. It is against Austin. So maybe it's not as great a victory, but we are looking for Orlando to regroup here.

[00:32:45] I think they're going to make a marquee signing this summer. And my bet is this. OK, that is this. Everyone knows Oliver Giroud is leaving. Are you saying Oliver Giroud? That's your time. Yeah. Oliver Giroud, you're out of your room.

[00:33:04] As we all know, he is leaving his current league. Thank God looking to MLS. That's where he wants to go. He's one of the greatest strikers of our generation. He's won the World Cup with France. Easily, France is France. He's just phenomenal.

[00:33:21] You would say he's currently France is messy, right? Because I mean, in Bapé is coming, but like in Bapé is a true striker. I think. Why are we talking about this? Sorry, continue. I just love I love that he's coming at us.

[00:33:34] He should have been here three years ago. Should have skipped over, you know, whatever should have. Yeah, he should he should have come here. But he's coming out. But everyone's saying LA market or New York market, right? That's what they're all saying.

[00:33:44] I think I think I hope I don't pray. But if I pray, I would pray that Orlando City makes a huge bid and snags Oliver Giroud so that we've got these two giant well, OK, when I say to I mean one giant name in Orlando

[00:34:06] against the like five giant names that the Inter Miami has because I just want that clash to be better. Too much Florida, dude. Too much Florida. Bring him to like Red Bulls or even if he's going to New York,

[00:34:15] put him in New York City, you know, make them relevant again. I hope it's an East Coast team because of the Louis. Yeah, because we're better. But imagine a Lewis Morgan playing more of a 10 and Jiro playing a nine. Fuck you, East Coast.

[00:34:35] Lewis Morgan showed that he is fucking for real this week. We bet on him week three delivered, went heavy on him week four. Ghost laid off on him this week. Three goals like four assists, 15 shots on target. I think he had 25 hot dogs at halftime.

[00:34:54] Dude just fucking went off. We've been talking about him week one because we just knew that New York. We just knew that New York was making the changes that fit him. And it is now it is now showing up in the back of the net.

[00:35:10] It's showing up in the middle of the field. The passing is better. The assists, like you said, are better. His save. How about this? Talk about that save. Did you did you watch the Red Bulls game?

[00:35:18] There was a ball going out of bounds on the third or fifth or 17th goal where he slid and saved it and then was able. Not only did he save the ball from going out, but he popped up and beat the defender to it.

[00:35:30] But how do you get beat by a guy who was laying down? And in the first episode of the season, he was in our long shots for Golden Boot winner. And he is currently in the lead for the Golden Boot with.

[00:35:42] I mean, when you score three in one day, it helps. But anyways, yeah. Yeah. And and Yaka Maki says, of course, for the national team, so he wasn't able to play for his team. And he's fine. Which they needed it because that's the next thing

[00:35:55] I wanted to talk about Toronto SC relevant again. What is going on? I liked it. I liked what I saw. It was very aggressive. Beautiful soccer. Yes. It was beautiful soccer. So I'm cool with that. Toronto Toronto is playing beautiful soccer again.

[00:36:11] You know, I love to shit on Toronto, but not the fans. We love when Toronto was good. Beautiful soccer. Yeah, we love. And now the Bradley's out of town. I can you know, we're allowed to be Toronto fans again.

[00:36:22] It's been so long since when I say supporter, I think. Like we're we're supporters of the crew. Like we're diehard crew supporters, right? But we can be fans of other clubs. We talk about it here. We want since you to do well until we beat the Dic Alpham,

[00:36:35] like the best team until we beat him. Toronto is another one of those. I want the best for them always. But the but the Bradley's were in town for so long fucking everything up. I think if what his face leaves out the door,

[00:36:45] it was just awful. It was just awful. Yeah, we don't like him. The money that they sucked from our program. Sorry, there's so many sub boxes. And then same with with Austin. If your boy goes out of town, there's half of our team went to Austin.

[00:36:57] So there's in the colors are great. Michael, you know, however we feel about Michael McConaughey out there, like it's fun, right? Yeah, it's fun. But the Bradley's been out of town. I think we can support Toronto again. So that's good news.

[00:37:09] You know, I hadn't thought about that, but you're right. I can I can stop. I can stop hating that crest. Yeah. And just loving the fans. Why I hated Toronto. No, they're the best. They're fucking they're amazing. They're the best. We talked about we talked about them when

[00:37:23] that when we were getting kicked out and they were like, we hope we win, but like, you shouldn't lose your team. But like, fuck you. But also like, give me a hug. So nice. Get rid of the Bradley's. Get rid of the Bradley's.

[00:37:31] Like I was feeling a connection last night when I was watching it and this explains it. I was like, the Bradley's are gone. We can enjoy this team. I have to run, but we can't stop

[00:37:39] until I give you a fucking chance to talk about how LFC isn't broken. Shout out Galaxy for coming back in the second half. Yolovic getting his goal, Ricky Pugue. Two assists, three assists, five assists. Just things that we have called and told you were going to happen.

[00:37:56] It was very fun. L.A. is the bandwagon this year. They give up goals. They score a ton. They will be. We were going to ride that until the fucking Yolovic falls off because they they they are the easiest thing to predict right now.

[00:38:08] They will give up goals. They will score goals. But the other team in L.A. Fire, right? Yeah, I thought it was going to get fired. No, not today. I thought Greg Vance was going to talk today.

[00:38:18] And I am I am so glad that they kept their faith in him. I'm so glad that they are allowing him to build again. I was telling Alex last night, I said the most exciting team to watch outside of Columbus and in Miami right now is Alley Galaxy.

[00:38:37] They're just so dynamic. They were losing by two away from home and scored three goals in the second half to come back and get the win. And and it was almost like five goals in the second half. It was absolutely amazing. Super fun.

[00:38:52] Second half adjustments from Greg Vann, the masterful coaching. Shout out to Pugue. Like you just said, Rick, you and I were like trying to like figure out like who are the top five players in MLS and Ricky Pugue has got to be there.

[00:39:05] Yes, you said he's the most electric right now. And I had a hard time. I said I know that Kucho if Kucho touches the ball, he's ripping a shot. I wish there was more Kucho's in the league from just strictly an investing standpoint because you know it's coming.

[00:39:20] But his and fuck, I don't want to tell the books, but Ricky to score assist has been plus two 10 or higher, greater, greater odds, longer shot the last three weeks. And he has to scored or assisted in all of those weeks.

[00:39:38] So until further notice, you are betting on old RP down from the real Los Angeles team, the one with multiple stars and years of I don't know, fuck it. But yeah, better than to score or assist every single week until that gets to minus 140 or so.

[00:39:59] And then we'll reassess. But right now at plus two 10 last night, he had two to win news coming. The books are off on him. He is the the offense goes through him. He won't score as often. He does take the penalties, which is very important to note

[00:40:13] when you pick someone to score assist your chances of getting it. So we got last night one of our bets cashed because of the Seattle penalty. Oh, really, Diaz became became the all time leading score or tied the ultimate score in Seattle's for Seattle story of history.

[00:40:34] So that was pretty fun. Legend, very cool. Made a little money on it. Headlines for that city. Great soccer town, Seattle. It is. So yeah, Ricky Pigg, don't miss out on his to score assist. Just remember that. And I'm Rick. St. Louis City, DC United, DC United.

[00:40:49] I'm so glad I can do. He's pretty electric as well. But techie will get it on frame. I don't know if we're going to score, but he's going to get on frame. That goal was his fault. He got the header in there and then the cleanup.

[00:40:58] So he doesn't get a goal for that. But that's one of those scoring involvements that stays off the books. But but anyways, Klaus got his first goal of the season. That's how St. Louis fans are super excited. He's definitely their most dynamic offensive player.

[00:41:15] So good to see him tie the game and earn his team a point. Houston gets a much needed win without Hector Herrera. I've been listening to some of the Houston podcasters, some of the Houston broadcasters who talk about the Houston Dynamo. This is a long time coming.

[00:41:34] Their rebuild has taken forever. They were nearly what we would call irrelevant in the West for a while, not three seasons ago and to see what they did last season and to see how they're even without their best player still getting it done.

[00:41:49] It was against the Rapids, but the Rapids have also rebuilt. So they're they're a decent team. Now let's get to this unbroken. Absolutely delightful. Just want somebody here. My frustration. Deller, L A F C game against Nashville. Was it?

[00:42:08] Was it you? I mean, they don't look broken to me. They don't look broken. They don't they don't look broken to me. Denny Boanga, Dennis, old Dennis, the menace is Dennis. He is. I was trying to think of a

[00:42:25] a good example that people could really resonate with of another athlete because he will be Dennis, the menace that he was last night. In just on fire or he will be an absolute ghost of Dennis Pass. Other games, so just the the peaks and valleys with him.

[00:42:42] When it's good, it's incredible. And when it's bad, it's like he's non-existent. So yeah, I will give you that the team you played. There was a straight red to the goalie, so they scored four goals after the straight red. Father Red card, which sucks.

[00:42:57] I hate that you have to give it to them, but that's unfortunate. So they did score four goals against the backup keeper. Who's a good goalie? Don't get me wrong, but not not prepared to play this game, didn't think he was going to be

[00:43:09] ever coming off the bench has to go and stop the ball. And he only has 10 guys in front of him. So you're up a man with a backup goalie. So I got it. I got to give my props to LFC for winning the game,

[00:43:19] but I have to give a little dig at like that's like saying, Charlotte's better than Columbus because they beat us on 80 minutes at home with the ref taken away goals, giving penalties and giving a red card to make it play down a little bit longer than that.

[00:43:33] Because we got a red card in the 18th minute or 26 minute or something like that. Oh, and we set the record for the longest first half. Yeah, I was set the record for the longest first half. It was like 62 minutes or something.

[00:43:44] And then it took them till the 80 whatever to get a goal. So we played we played a man down real, real long time. So that's that is. But LFC gets some points on the board. I still think that Bogus is really struggling. I think that he is.

[00:44:01] Dude, I texted you about that. He's being carried by the team. I'm sad. I had to admit it last night. I told you the other day I wasn't ready. I did have him for a shot on target last night

[00:44:09] and he had three or four attempts that got to be on frame. I told you, I think he lost his confidence. He's still he's still Bogus in there, but where you're getting on the pitch is not not quality.

[00:44:21] So I love the dude and you know, I want to back him, but. Yeah. Yeah. And he is a great soccer player, but he is not. He is not doing well right now. Philadelphia Union looking like the Philadelphia fucking Union.

[00:44:33] Finally, dude would take five games into the season for them to fill out. They were who their identity is putting away the Portland Timbers at home. Three goals to one. That is an exciting game of soccer. I'm really looking forward to being able to count on Philly

[00:44:50] to score goals, man. So I've been betting for betting alone. I'm just been waiting for Philly to show up. Excuse me, dude. Dino, man, Daniel Gossack is pretty good at soccer. I don't know if you've heard of him. He is a Hungarian national.

[00:45:05] So he's out on these crazy friendlies. Best player, their best player. And they looked more effective without him. So I'm curious about that. It's not saying they don't need Dan to Godstock. They obviously need Godstock always. Everybody needs Godstock. He's also their penalty taker and he's perfect.

[00:45:24] The only person, I think, in history to be perfect in MLS, like 18 for 18. Fun fact. Check me on that because it's probably wrong, but close. But he was gone. So it's weird when you see your best player,

[00:45:34] like imagine if Kucho sat and then we just won every game or when Lucas was gone, we had to replace a bunch of other spots. So obviously this is an international break, whatever. I got to run. I'm so late. But the. The result doesn't.

[00:45:48] I need a couple more results before I believe, but it was a very nice surprise to see them cover the one and a half goals by themselves. We didn't even need Portland. Portland was going to fuck it up,

[00:45:56] but they got one at the very end for the both teams to score. So Miami was the only diss thing between us and extra thousand bucks. Those pitches. Yeah. Yeah. And the last one we missed too. San Jose, earthquakes topple the Seattle Sounders,

[00:46:10] but just a good game overall, just good soccer to that watching, watching Seattle score goals. Of course, the read Diaz that storyline is so good. San Jose needs fucking points. So good on them for getting getting some points. They beat the Roll Dons again.

[00:46:30] Oh, yeah, they scored at the end of old Jeremy above above a Bessie. What were we saying for him? A Bobble Seer. Now he's really came on strong and shout out to Charlotte Shriker, too. We had him for one shot on target.

[00:46:45] He ended up scoring at the end. He showed that he's. Oh, that's right. Yeah. He's no joke. OK, that was a fucking lot. If you stayed this long today, there's only one. I'm going to put the episode out right now. So there's one game tonight, two games tonight.

[00:46:59] There is Panama, Jamaica, Mexico, US. This Nations League stuff is a shit show. Mexico and US are the front runners. Whoever wins between us is probably going to win the whole thing. I'm taking one and a half in both games. What's that if we win?

[00:47:19] I wouldn't bet on us to win the whole thing. I don't know. We haven't talked about you, a soccer. And we're not going to get into it. It's bad. So yeah, I'm going to get into that right now,

[00:47:27] but we are going to get into that probably next episode. We need to talk about US men's soccer, but I am not as confident as you are. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm not confident in them to win.

[00:47:35] What I'm saying is, is my bet for today is over one and a half in both games. So Mexico could score two. Any USA could score two, Jamaica, Panama, they could all score two. It doesn't matter. We just need two total in each game.

[00:47:50] And that is only minus one 15. So two total goals. And I know we don't have a lot of history for Conker Cat Nations League, but 93 percent Jamaica and Panama over one and a half and 100 percent of Mexico, USA game.

[00:48:06] So we could get a dozen, Sarah and we'll cash. Eighteen corners is the average in corners between those two. So if you really want to fuck it up, if your book will let you add corners, there should be a lot. I'm staying away from it.

[00:48:18] I'm going over one and a half in both games. I'll give a shit about any of that other stuff. Just just place it in cash. So I'm I'm on that one. And you should party to. So thanks for sticking around for 48 minutes. I'm so fucking late.

[00:48:32] I'm sorry, I'm coming. A dude so late. Bye.
